Hello, my name is Beth Saffer. I am 21 years old, and I come from Manchester in England (though I know little about football I'm afraid!).
I am currently living in Moscow, because at Birmingham University I study Russian. Therefore I am here trying to improve my language skills, as well as experiencing Russian culture first hand. Knowing the stresses and difficulties of studying foreign languages, I am able to empathise with students, as well as understanding the need for a relaxed environment when learning English, which I hope to achieve in the lessons!
Working for the Moscow Institute of Linguistics, I hope to help students to speak "real" English as best they can! I also hope to provide an insight into modern British life by discussing topics such as the current social situation, the change in British culture and traditions, and of course, common British stereotypes! I also hope to learn a bit about Russian culture along the way…

Hello, my name is Natalie Hill. I am 20 years old, and I come from a small town called Dover which is a port on the south east coast of England.
I am currently living in Moscow, because at Birmingham University I study Russian. I am here to improve my language skills and also experience the Russian culture and way of life. I am really looking forward to starting the Sunday English Club and I have tried to think of lots of ideas for topics to discuss and fun things to do. The aim of the classes is to provide a relaxed environment to practise speaking English and learn about life in Britain and I will try to add to the course materials with pictures and films to make it more interesting.
Studying languages myself, I can understand the frustrations and problems students often experience and so I will try to structure the lessons in a way that I would find useful and interesting, if it were a Russian language club.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Natalie.
